Day 1 : Arrival - Paro to Thimphu
Once you land at Paro International airport, you will be greeted by our representative. Thimpu is located 50 km far from Paro. Driving through the Valley, you will arrive at the confluence of Paro and Thimphu River, Passing along scenic chortens, follow the tapered section to Simtokha Dzong and reach Thimphu.
Visit the following Places upon arrival-
- Buddha Point
- Tashichho Dzong
- Takin Zoo
- Farmers Market
- Paper Factory
- Textile Museum
- Authentic Craft Bazar.
Overnight- Thimphu
Day 2 : Thimphu to Punakha
After breakfast visit the following places before heading towards Punakha-
1. Painting School
2. Post Office
Continue your journey east and cross the magnificent Dochula Pass (3150m), on a clear day the view of the Himalayan ranges is breathtaking. Start descending towards Punakha, a sub tropical region, the old winter capital of Bhutan. upon arrival visit the following places-
- Chimmi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple)
- Punakha Dzong
- Suspension Bridge
Overnight- Punakha
Day 3 :Punakha Excursion
After breakfast start exploring the beautiful valley-
- Hike to Khamsum yulley Namgyal Chorten
- River Rafting
- Visit the Nunnery
- Experience a local authentic Farmhouse to learn the Bhutanese way of life.
Overnight- Punakha
Day 4 : Punakha via Thimphu to Paro
Retrace your journey back through Dochula Pass and continue towards Thimphu, divert towards Paro from Thimphu.
upon arrival visit the following places-
- Paro Rinpung Dzong
- Ta Dzong/National Museum
- Kyichu Lhakhang
- Making and learning of Sand Mandala
Overnight- Paro
Day 5 : Hike to Tigers Nest/Taktsang monastery
Hike to Taktsang which is popularly known as Tiger’s Nest. The icon of the country, the site is sacred to all bhutanese and is considered as one of the most venerated pilgrimage site in the buddhist kingdom. According to legends, Guru Rinpoche flew to Bhutan from Tibet on the back of a Tiger in the 8th century and chose this spot for meditation. This Monastery is built in the rocky cliff that towers to 900m above Paro Valley. 3 hrs of moderately challenging hike will lead you to the Monastery and 2 hrs back retracing the same route to the parking lot.
# Experience a authentic hot stone bath after a tiring hike.
# Farewell dinner/ your last authentic Bhutanese meal can be arranged in a local Farmhouse.

Day 6 : Departure
After breakfast drive to the airport and continue your onward journey.
